About this position
Hours: Non-Exempt. Approximately 6 hours per day 30-hour workweek, but willing to work more than normal working hours when necessary.
Reports To: Administrator and CFO
Travel: Travels to and participates in meetings and seminars when deemed necessary by the Administrator and/or CFO.
Job Summary: Responsible for all day-to-day activities of the Good Shepherd Foundation and assigned administrative duties.
Work Environment: Sits, stands, and walks intermittently during the workday, and subject to many interruptions. Deals with the public, employees, visitors, family members and residents.
Essential Functions:
• Administers direct mail programs.
• Promote planned giving program.
• Manage mailing list.
• Develop goals and long-range plans for Good Shepherd Foundation.
• Develop and maintain a good rapport with the Corporation of Churches.
• Write and submit Grant Proposals for funding to appropriate Corporations and Foundations.
• Prepare periodic reports for the Administrator and the Board of Directors.
• Acknowledge all gifts to the Good Shepherd Foundation.
• Develop and maintain excellent public relations with the area business owners and citizens.
• Coordinate and prepare newsletter/appeal mailings as required.
• Coordinate Foundation efforts to raise funds through special events with select Foundation Committees.
• Maintain accurate records for donor files. Ensure Thank You letters are sent out.
• Prepare monthly Foundation Board of Directors meeting agendas, minutes, and financial reports for the Board of Directors.
• Promptly answer telephones in a courteous and professional manner.
•Acts as a receptionist for visitors.
• Miscellaneous computer work, copying and filing.
• Sorts and distributes incoming and out-going mail, forward mail as needed.
• Distributes fax correspondence to the proper person as needed.
• Assist in office duties in absence of other office employees.
• All other duties as assigned by the Administrator and/or CFO.

Physical Demands:
• Sits, stands, stoops, lifts, and carries heavy items occasionally, bends, pushes, pulls and walks short distances during the day. Short emergency situations could require lifting and supporting 100 pounds or greater.
• Requires functional hearing ability to understand residents.
• Requires functional visual ability.
Qualifications:
A. Education/Other-
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have knowledge in computer skills and variety of office equipment.
