Driver / Plant Production Support for Dry Cleaners

Lavaseco Universal, LLC dba Five Star Cleaners is excited to offer an opportunity for a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team at Dutch Boy Cleaners / Five Star Cleaners as a Driver / Plant Production Support for our dry-cleaning operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of our services by providing timely transportation of garments and materials between our plant and various locations, as well as supporting plant production processes. Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport garments, supplies, and equipment between plant, stores, and customer locations.
- Load and unload garments and supplies in an organized and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy in counts and careful handling of items.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues to the management.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, maintain a clean driving record, and report any traffic incidents immediately to the management.
- Assist in the production area by sorting and organizing garments before and after cleaning processes.
- Support plant operations by performing tasks such as garment tagging, bagging, and preparing orders for delivery or customer pick-up.
- Maintain cleanliness and order within the plant and the vehicle to ensure a safe and professional working environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards, to minimize risks and ensure quality service.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify efficiencies and suggest improvements in the workflow.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum age of 21 years for insurance purposes
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy items with or without accommodation
- - Familiarity with GPS and route management systems
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance (e.g., checking oil levels, tire pressure)
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn the layout of the service area
- Ability to adhere to all safety requirements and operational procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Professional appearance and adherence to company dress code
- Willingness to assist in plant production tasks during downtime, such as sorting, tagging, and packaging items
- Basic record-keeping abilities for delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports
- Compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
