About this position
ATA Services, Inc. is currently seeking to hire an experienced Helpdesk/End Use Support Tech to work on a temporary assignment with the State of New Mexico General Services Division. This position is NOT remote and is in Santa Fe.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Pay Rate: $25.00 - $32.50 per hour (DOE) – weekly pay
- Schedule: 8AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, at the located at
- Location: 2542 Cerrillos Rd, T-187 (West Campus) Santa Fe, NM.
The employee will be responsible for providing 1st level help desk support, which includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Troubleshooting Computer Workstation Issues:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on user workstations.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Suite applications.
- User Support:
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, or Service Desk Plus helpdesk ticketing system promptly.
- Provide guidance to users on the effective use of IT resources.
- Network Connectivity:
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless connections.
- Escalate unresolved network issues to higher-level IT support when necessary.
- Peripheral Device Support:
- Assist users with setting up and troubleshooting printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Ensure peripherals are properly connected and functioning.
- Account Management:
- Assist with user account management tasks, including password resets and account creation.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Documentation:
- Document support activities and resolutions in the Service Desk Plus helpdesk ticketing system.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of user guides and troubleshooting documentation.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
