Requirements:

Boyd Watterson Asset Management, LLC is an independent investment advisor specializing in real estate, fixed income, and equity products. We provide investment solutions to a broad range of institutional clients and to high-net-worth clients, mainly through intermediaries.


Our investment strategies focus on stable income with a moderate risk profile. The real estate products are mainly delivered through private funds that primarily own and operate commercial buildings under lease to agencies of the US government, and state and local governments. Our fixed income and equity products are delivered through separately managed accounts, mutual funds, and intermediaries.


The Opportunity

The VP, Consultant Relations opportunity will work closely with investment consultants to develop and maintain positive ratings across Boyd's broad range of investment capabilities. They will work to identify and drive Boyd's business growth, build a referral pipeline with investment consultants and determine which strategies are best placed with each firm.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Focus on business development and relationship management of investment consultants to effectively promote our services and expand our client base.

· Custom tailor interactions with consultants

· Oversee due diligence process including queries, maintaining and managing the data in consultant databases and questionnaires.

· Maintain CRM: Build a profile on each consulting firm to include assets, philosophy, sensitivities, roadblocks, key people, etc.

· Identify and document each consultant's research approval process.

· Assist in new product development, product positioning and development of materials.

· Assist in competitor analysis of prospective and current products.

· Help test market product ideas and help gather competitive analysis before product launch.

· Help coordinate having one of the consultant's client's ask them to review the product.

· Assist sales team in strategically engaging in cross selling opportunities among clients.

· Provide key consultant product feedback to sales and investment teams.

· Ask consultant about and report to the sales teams on what new manager searches consultants are doing and plan to do.

Education, Skills, Personal Characteristics and Work Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree (concentration in finance or business preferred)

· 7 plus years' experience in asset management industry, including specific sales experience with investment consultants.

· Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

· Experience with tracking activity, CRM, pipeline management.
